Interests and Hobbies
Outside of engineering, I’m driven by curiosity, movement, and meaningful contribution.
This section brings together, travel, volunteer work, outdoor activities, recent creative hobbies, and photography.
Each representing a different way I explore ideas, solve problems, and stay connected to my surroundings.

Latest Volunteer Work
I’m drawn to volunteer work that is practical, people-powered, and rooted in real needs.
My recent experiences reflect a hands-on approach to problem-solving and community support.
Dogs of Imsouane
Photographer & Helping Hand
Morocco, Africa
In 2025, I spent two months in Morocco and became involved in a grassroots animal welfare initiative in the surf town of Imsouane. After identifying a lack of basic infrastructure and resources for stray dogs, I took initiative to support both immediate needs and long-term impact.
- I designed and built Gravity-fed water stations and strategically placed them throughout the town to improve access to clean water.
- I assisted in locating at-risk puppies, coordinating vaccinations, and supporting daily rescue logistics in a resource-limited environment.
- Recognizing the need for funding and visibility, I also documented the work through photography to strengthen the group’s online presence and outreach.
These combined efforts contributed to raising over $3,000 for veterinary care and supplies.
The project remains active and continues to expand through sustained community engagement.

Latest Hobby
I like exploring new hobbies as a way to stay curious and creative, letting ideas develop naturally, guided by inspiration from my surroundings.
Garment Construction and Design
I’ve recently been developing skills in garment construction and design, focusing on understanding structure, fit, and the details that make a piece function well.
Each project begins with hand-drafted patterns and uses exclusively thrifted fabrics, emphasizing sustainability and thoughtful material use.
Through this process, I explore how design decisions translate into physical form, refining techniques through iteration, experimentation, and hands-on problem solving.

Outdoor Activities
Before engineering, I studied at Thompson Rivers University, where I trained and worked as a guide in extreme sports. I spent several years guiding in high-risk, fast-changing environments, developing strong decision-making skills, self-reliance, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Although an injury ended my guiding career, I’ve carried the values of the outdoor industry with me. I continue to push myself across a wide range of sports and have traveled extensively in pursuit of movement, challenge, and community and I often find myself drawn to a good suffer fest, culture and mountain environments.
Sport has shaped how I work and live: it has taught me self-motivation, adaptability, resilience, and how to perform when conditions aren’t ideal.

Photography
These photos are drawn from time spent traveling the world and documenting events across British Columbia focused on atmosphere, motion, and lived experience.
